Positive: We had a lovely stay at Links House. The room was cosy and comfortable, and the bathroom had been smartly renovated with a fresh, modern feel. Dinner service was a highlight, with Michael looking after us in the restaurant. He was genuinely lovely — chatty, welcoming, and made us feel right at home. The property itself is beautiful, especially the garden, which features a stunning Boston ivy wall that adds so much charm and character to the setting. It’s a peaceful and inviting place to unwind. Overall, a warm and memorable stay — we’d happily return.
Negative: As an older property, there are a few quirks to be aware of. Noise insulation isn’t the strongest, so sounds can carry a little through the hallways, which are also quite drafty and echoey. Some of the walls showed minor scuff marks, and the paving is a bit uneven in places. Improved lighting in the car park would also make arrivals and evenings feel a bit more comfortable.
